The picture above really says it all about this beef, I don't think either guy is fooling anyone into thinking that this is anything more than one relevant dude and one pseudo-relevant dude trying to stir up a little blog-clammor, and it's working. Common has a pretty funny line about Canada Dry in there, and when posed with the question "What's Beef?" he answers - Beef is when you need a Destiny's Child sample to drive your point home.
